"That Dress Isn't for Women My Age" — Oh Yes It Is.

"Oh, that dress really isn't for women of my age."

That's not how we roll here at Three Wild Women. So let's talk about how to wear these bright, flowy summer dresses that are absolutely having a moment this spring and summer  and why you deserve to be in on it.

Now, you know we're not big on chasing trends. We talk about that a lot. We're into clothes that feel good, look nice, and are comfortable to wear. That's exactly why we brought in these Nu-Look dresses.

A little about Nu-Look Fashions: they've been a Canadian women's fashion staple since 1990,  over 35 years of dressing women across North America. They're Toronto-based (love a Canadian brand!) wholesale fashion house known for offering quality, wearable women's apparel at accessible price points. Their collections strike that sweet spot between classic silhouettes and just enough trend to feel fresh. Think feminine prints, comfortable fabrics, flattering lengths, and details that feel elevated rather than overdone. We love supporting Canadian brands, and Nu-Look is the real deal.

But here's the thing, our ladies have been walking past these dresses saying they look "too young" for them. So we had this one gal come into the shop and she said,

"Oh, that dress really isn't for women of my age."

And I replied, "Why don't you just try it on? You're trying on some other styles anyway. What's the worst that can happen? You're already going to be getting undressed."

She complied. And honestly, I wouldn't have insisted but it is always worth trying things on.

If that crinkle dress from Dolcezza (another fabulous Canadian brand, by the way!) has taught us anything, it's that you absolutely have to try things on. Full stop.

Sure enough, she comes out of the change room with the Nu-Look coral dress on  and she's beaming. Great length, pockets, and the floral embroidery makes it feel feminine in the most delicate way. Not childish. Not "too young." Just lovely.

"I actually love it!"

Now, I'm not going to sit here and say "I told you so"  but ladies, I really need you to stop worrying about what's age-appropriate.

At the end of the day, clothes are pieces of cloth that have been cut into different shapes. There is no tag on the back that says "Max age: 38."

If it makes you curious and it makes you smile, that's all I need to know. And if you're worried about your arms, we have plenty of options for a little extra coverage.

Come down to Three Wild Women and I'll get you into those change rooms too.
